ABSTRACTS ARE INVITED FOR THE FOLLOWING SCIENTIFIC CATEGORIES:

  • Theme: ISSICON 2026 – Spine and Spinal Cord Injury Horizons: Global Innovation, Integration & Excellence.
  • Abstracts aligned with the conference theme will be given preference; however, submissions on other relevant topics are also welcome. Abstracts must be submitted under the following headings:

  • Abstracts may include original research, clinical studies, clinical initiatives, quality improvement projects, service delivery models, innovations, systematic reviews, case series, or translational/basic science work.

Abstract Structure & Formatting

  • Technical Specifications
  • Language: Clear, academic English.
  • Word Limit: Maximum 300 words (excluding title and author list)
  • Title: Concise and conclusive (avoid all caps).
  • Structure (Research): Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
  • Structure (Clinical Initiative): Introduction, Description of Program, Impact, and Conclusions.
  • Non-proprietary (generic) names should be used and should be written in small letters. Proprietary names may be added in brackets.
  • General Policies & Ethics
  • Ethical Approval: All clinical studies must state approval for IRB or Ethics Committee.
  • Patient Anonymity: Any image or text containing identifying patient information should be avoided.
  • Originality: The work must not have been published in a peer-reviewed journal or presented previously
  • Disclosure of Interest: All authors must disclose any financial relationship

Special Notes :

  • Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted; authors are responsible for language quality, factual accuracy, and avoiding plagiarism.
  • All abstracts will undergo peer review by the scientific committee with Scoring criteria (type of research, level of evidence, total follow up, total no. of patients, medico-social significance/ impact and quality of research/ clinical initiative)
  • For an abstract to be included in the final scientific programme either as an oral presentation or a Poster, the presenting author is required to register.
  • Abstracts will not be considered if
  • Outcome data/result is not mentioned
  • Plagiarized or doctored studies.
  • Non-adherent to any of the submission guidelines.
  • For a co-author to present, permission from corresponding author will be required.

The ISSICON 2026 Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept or reject the abstract. The Scientific Committee also reserves the right to determine the mode of presentation (oral or poster). Presenters unable to attend may nominate a co-author as a substitute, provided the substitute is registered for the conference.
