Welcome to ISSICON 2026

Dear Delegates,

Warm Greetings and Welcome to ISSICON 2026. The Spinal Cord Society of India warmly welcomes all delegates, faculty members, and participants to the 26th Annual Conference – International Spine and Spinal Injuries Conference (ISSICON 2026), being held in collaboration with the AO Spine Knowledge Forum Spinal Cord Injury (KF SCI) from 20th–22nd November 2026 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
The theme for ISSICON 2026 is “Spine and Spinal Cord Injury Horizons 2026: Global Innovation, Integration & Excellence”. The epidemiology of spinal cord injury is undergoing a significant transition worldwide, with a growing proportion of cases being attributed to non-traumatic causes. Degenerative, infective, neoplastic, vascular, inflammatory, and metabolic conditions increasingly contribute to spinal cord dysfunction, particularly in ageing populations. In parallel, rapid advances in neuromodulation, rehabilitation technologies, and translational research are reshaping care pathways in both traumatic and non-traumatic spinal cord injuries. This evolving scenario demands a stronger emphasis on timely diagnosis, evidence-based interventions, comprehensive rehabilitation, and long-term outcome optimization.
ISSICON has always served as an important academic platform for knowledge exchange, professional collaboration, and dissemination of best practices in spinal cord injury care. It continues to bring together clinicians, surgeons, rehabilitation experts, researchers, therapists, nurses, and allied health professionals committed to improving the quality of life of persons living with spinal cord injury
