On behalf of entire BHAIKAKA UNIVERSITY, Charutar Arogya Mandal family, KM Patel Institute of Physiotherapy and organising committee, it is my honour to invite you to participate in the International Spine and Spinal Injuries Conference (ISSICON 2023) to be held on 1st – 3rd December 2023 at Karamsad, Gujarat.

ISSICON conference has become a premier conference in the field of medicine especially for the professionals associated with spinal cord injury ranging from spine surgeons to consumers. We hosted ISSICON for the first time at Karamsad in the year 2014 and we are honoured to be chosen again as a host for this event for year 2023 too. We have chosen the prestigious ‘National Dairy Development Board’ (NDDB) campus as the venue which is the pride of our country, well known as the ‘Milk Capital of India’. We are sure that this event will enhance the knowledge of professionals and students associated with this field.

It’s work recollecting the quote by Paracelsus who said ‘Medicine is not only a science; it is also an art. It does not consist of compounding pills and plasters; it deals with the very processes of life, which must be understood before they may be guided.’ The present world is facing a lot of physical and mental problems and the healthcare has gone for a massive change in approaching this problem. The practice of medicine has become an costly affair and hence people are afraid to come to us due to expensive medical services. The mission of Charutar Arogya Mandal is to provide affordable service to poor and rural community and we do serve the poor and needy people since we are established. We need to continue to be affordable professionals so that the poorest patients can come to us for treatment. And this is only possible through research. We need to find affordable medicines, methods, equipments and rehab to make our service for poor patients. ISSICON 2023 with the theme ‘Accessible & Affordable SCI care’ will give you all a common platform to share your research to everyone and I am sure the scientific deliberations that will happen under this platform will reach the last citizen of the country. We are sure ISSICON 2023 will provide you the opportunity to interact and share you knowledge and ideas with others, to make new relationships and grow yourself in the field and help each other for social development of country.
